People Operations & Data Specialist

About The Team

We have bold and ambitious goals to drive a critical change in the way we provide services to our Colleagues and our Leaders. This role sits within the People Operations & Systems team that is spread across all of Careem’s markets. Our team’s core functions are split between People Operations, Colleague Advisory, People Data & Quality, Policy & Process, and People Systems.

The role requires a well-organized, driven, and output-focused person to continue towards our growth model.

What You’ll Do

We have bold and ambitious goals to drive a critical change in the way we provide services to our Colleagues and our Leaders – transitioning to a new best-in-class HRMS that will empower our people through self-service. A core focus of our People Operations & Systems Team which this role will be a part.

The heart of our colleague’s experience journey sits in the remit of this role holder. You will be responsible for looking after our colleagues alongside a team of like-minded people operations gurus spread across all of Careem’s markets and verticals. You will be part of a team crafting, developing, and maintaining all people processes and advisory functions that impact our colleagues on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities Include

  • Provide excellent levels of service across various colleague relations topics, both internally and externally (including onboarding and offboarding, colleague support queries,
  • Support and advocate implementation projects of best practices across wider teams, working closely with People Engagement Partners/Directors on project related assignments
  • Proactive troubleshooting of areas requiring improvement reviews or assessment.
  • Handle written requests received from colleagues regarding policies and procedures by accessing various systems to obtain required information
  • Work closely with the wider People, Legal, and Procurement teams to fulfill task needs.
  • Manage all data related to outsourcing onboarding / offboarding,
  • Monitor the accuracy and data integrity of HR systems
  • Develop and maintain system and process documentation
  • Develop and maintain regular reports for data analysis and trend reporting
  • Responsible for the data mapping across all markets
  • Manage all the data entry integration related to the global markets onboarding, offboarding
  • Run the needed monthly / Quarterly and annual audits to make sure all data in the drive and systems are 100% accurate and saved in the correct place

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR generalist role
  • Experience working with globally dispersed teams and driving organizational change initiatives and developing talent management plans for a global organization.
  • High level of accuracy and follow up
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously, providing regular updates to workflows.
  • Excellent and assertive problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Passion for people: relish in developing programs and procedures that attract and retain the very best talent
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management / Business Management or equivalent experience
  • CIPD related certifications are advantageous
  • Change management training is desirable
  • Fluent English and localized language, in both reading and writing
  • Additional languages are advantageous
  • Solid experience in Oracle, Enboarder, JIRA and/or Workday is advantageous

Where you’ll be

  • Even though we are working remotely, we are strong believers in collaboration and the power of building social connections with our teams. For that reason, our offices are still open and provide plenty of collaboration-friendly spaces at times when teams need it or if you need a quiet space to work outside of the home.
  • You’ll be working in the location you’re hired from. Due to legal and compensation considerations, you will need to be based out of the country you’re hired from as your primary work location.
