Financial Accountant
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Western Cape, Durbanville (On-site)
We are looking for a highly organised individual who is self-motivated, hard-working and pays attention to detail. You will be part of a dynamic team that operates largely in the Property Development industry.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report to the Directors and attend to accounting and admin functions including:
- Full accounting function including Cashbook / Accounts receivable / Accounts payable;
- Management of balance sheet control accounts and monthly reconciliations
- Inter-company loan reconciliations and re-charges
- Prepare Annual Budgets
- Prepare Monthly Management Accounts (Including divisional reporting)
- Report on Budget versus Actual variances
- Preparation of monthly cash flow forecasts
- Preparation of year-end audit files and liaising with auditors
- Completion and submission of VAT on SARS e-filing
- Attending to VAT queries and maintenance of statutory compliance with SARS
- Assessment of accounting and administration systems and procedures on an ongoing basis
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant degree in accounting
- experience in accounting
- Stable track record essential
- Computer Literate with sound knowledge of Excel
THE FOLLOWING WILL BE ADVANTAGEOUS:
- Completed articles
- Sage Evolution experience
- Knowledge of the Property Development Industry
