Junior Accountant

We are looking to hire a junior accountant with an analytical mind and fantastic organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Booking of operational transactions ( sales, expenses, bank posting, etc )
• Update accounts payable and performs reconciliations
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

Requirements and skills:

• Proven experience as a junior accountant
• BA/masters degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field
• Excellent organizing abilities
• Great attention to detail
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• in-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles ( GAAP )
• Excellent English/French skills ( written and communication )
