Learning and Development Associate (Omani National)

This role is to provide the necessary administrative support to ensure smooth operations in Learning & Development Department.

The candidate will be expected to successfully handle various training activities and interventions required for ahlibank employees through different learning methods.

Key Objectives

• To execute various tasks professionally and in line with the policies and procedures of the bank and the regulatory guidelines

• Ensure timely implementation of various processes of training logistics including course registration, course relevant payments, venue booking, travel & accommodation bookings.

• Monitor the attendance and performance of employees enrolled in training programs, follow up on their progress, as well as maintain relevant scores and reports by coordinating and working closely with training vendors.

• Maintain and constantly update training record of bank employees registered for training programs.

• Ensure ‘Return on Investment’ is achieved when employees attend training program by collecting feedback from them after attending the training program.

• Liaise with HOD to release the staff

• Maintain and constantly update record of L & D budget utilization.

• Maintain a good rapport with bank employees registered for training programs, including extending tangible and intangible support, communicating necessary information, following up on their progress, facilitating their registration in course and exams, processing their travel and accommodation bookings, processing their allowance payment, etc.

• Work as a focal point between the bank and training providers as far as the L & D opportunities for employees are concerned.

• Coordinate and liaise with local and international training centers for registering the bank employees for various training programs, certifications, workshops and seminars.

• Successfully handle the various tasks of Graduate Development Program, including maintaining graduate’s performance, graduates’ job rotation, graduate’s project submission & presentations, graduates’ mentoring, graduates’ sponsor allocation, assessment coordination and functional & behavioural training coordination.

• Successfully process internship requests for university/college students, making sure eligibility criteria is met and all official documentation is obtained.

• Successfully manage the administrative functionalities of e-learning platform available for the bank employees including course creation, assessment creation, staff enrollment, technical guidance/support, completion report extraction, as well as constant follow up with department on course completion status.

Candidate Specifications

• Bachelor in Business or a related field

• 5 years of experience in the HR or training function
