Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:
    • Full Time 40- hours per week

Duties

 

The incumbent is responsible for daily processing of Immigrant Visa (IV) applications, including receiving the petition and associated paperwork, preparing the documents for interview, translating as necessary, and processing the final issuance or refusal of the visa. This person also prints petitions and related documents, conducts data entry, and ensures information is accurate. In addition, the incumbent independently accepts documents from applicants, verifies completeness, prints approved visa foils, prepares issued visa packets, and processes refusals. This role also involves handling incoming mail, answering inquiries from the public about IV matters, and assisting with routine correspondence, reports, and statistics.

 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: At least two years’ experience with expensive public contact in a role of progressively increasing responsibility in consular, administrative, or clerical work involving the application of regulatory material is required.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:  English: Fluent; written/spoken, including the ability to translate. This may be tested.

    • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including exercising good judgment and patience when dealing with the public.
