Assistant Manager Regulatory Reporting (Omani Nationals)

• To provide accurate regulatory reports to Central Bank of Oman and Ministries, by understanding the regulations of its original intention and be well-informed of the recent amendments of related regulations, including Islamic Banking

• Carry out performance and variance analysis to support informed decision making.

• Coordination for the preparation of the Annual Budget and business plan.

Key Objectives

• Responsible for accurate submission of various CBO returns within the prescribed deadlines.

• Effective understanding and be well informed on any regulatory changes and update the CBO/ Ministry reports accordingly (Both conventional and Islamic).

• Responsible for developing and formulation of all regulatory reports for Islamic Banking.

• Responsible for Consolidation of Islamic and Conventional Banking regulatory reporting wherever required.

• Support and co-ordinate the preparation of the requirements for CBO annual examination.

• Responsible to ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of various CBO return.

• To consolidate the Conventional and Islamic Banking CBO reporting from two core Banking systems.

• Continuously contribute to improve the process of CBO reporting, in co-ordination with the Financial systems team

• To support and co-ordinate the preparation of all reports related to Finance department for CBO annual examination.

• To update the portal on the Regulatory report submission.

• To keep constant update on CBO regulations and update the Management on the impact.

• To continuously support other teams in automating reports.

• To ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of ALCO report to Risk Department.

Candidate Specifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, added advantage of professional qualification or Master’s degree.

• Highly proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Excel.

• Good knowledge of computer packages for financial reporting, Knowledge of Equation system would be an advantage

• Good knowledge of local regulations especially Central Bank regulations and Capital Market Authority.

• 5 years of experience in the finance department of a bank.
