Head of Supply Chain Management

Purpose of the job:

– Define , implement and oversee the supply Chain strategy and associated framework / management system/ policies and procedures to support business needs and objectives.

– Ensure compliance and implementation of supply chain company policies.

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Define and implement supply chain strategy (including insourcing / outsourcing).
  2. Management of supply chain sub-functions: Demand & Supply, Distribution, Reverse, Customs Transportation and warehousing.
  3. Forecast & plan activities to ensure products / equipment availability while keeping an optimum inventory level.
  4. Transverse collaboration with stakeholders to monitor WIP Level and set required action plan to optimize the level of stock.
  5. Manage products availability in points of consumption balanced by an efficient levels & quality of inventory and a reduced level of logistic costs related to distribution activity.
  6. Lead replenishment process for Orange owned sales channels and identify anomalies (overstock, low rotation, stock out.).
  7. Analyze commercial products stock levels and quality in sales channels, sales trends and challenge the anticipation of end-of-life and article substitution effects.
  8. Create the required processes to manage the Reverse activity for Both technical Equipment and commercial Products.
  9. Establish End of Life management unit to monitor age and quality of Equipment / Products and set the required process to ensure ongoing clearance of damage/ Obsolete.
  10. Develop and Maintain a proper After sales process for all commercial products (handsets and accessories.)
  11. Manage Central Warehouse operations (technical and commercial): receiving, warehousing, inventory control and distribution services.
  12. Manage custom clearance process for all company shipments in accordance with established legal, regulatory and company procedures to ensure efficient handling in the most cost and time efficient manner.
  13. Communicate with national authorities (NTRA , GAFI , Custom Authorities ) to ensure all the compliance with the regulations.
  14. Design and perform internal control on processes, activities and on accuracy of financial implications of them for the Supply Chain activities.
  15. Plan and implement all technical and human resources to ensure supply and distribution of commercial and technical products according to pre-defined and agreed objectives.
  16. Build expertise on new domains of growth & innovation and contribute to company transformation program.
  17. Ensure continuous performance improvement of activity efficiency for suppliers inbound flow, warehouses operations, availability of products in points of consumption and returns flow by proposing related actions from improvement and optimization.
  18. Implement quality policy, environment, safety (security) and internal control within supply chain department.
  19. Define & implement action plan related to WIP reduction as per company targets.
  20. Coordinates Supply Chain dashboard integration.
  21. Drive improvement on process and KPIs.
  22. Drive savings integration process according to agreed methodology and procedure, liaising with controlling.
  23. Responsible to ensure reporting consistency.
  24. Prepare ad-hoc reports requested by OEG Executive Committee members, OEG Board and Group Corporate.

People Management:

  1. Provide coaching and request needed training for direct reports ensuring continuous individual development.
  2. Ensure a healthy working environment for the department employees through focusing on team building and Motivation initiatives.
  3. Conduct regular performance and competency evaluations for direct reports while delivering constant constructive feedback for higher achievements and further development.
  4. Hold regular meetings with the team members in order to strengthen their communications and ensure that same objectives are shared among all of them.

Job specification

Education

1- Bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Engineering / Economics.

2- MBA or certificates in the field of Operation and Supply chain is an asset.

Experience

  • 1- Minimum 10 Years, 5 of which in Supply Chain and Logistics, preferably telecom industry in a mid to big size organization.

Skills and abilities

  1. Very good English both written and spoken.
  2. Very good computer skills.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
  4. Ability to manage complex environments and capacity to liaise easily with various stakeholders and multitude of dimensions.
  5. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills.
