Venture Capital Intern

The Role
Responsibilities
- Conducting market research on sectors of interest to Brinc and staying current with industry trends and competitive landscapes to assist with the production of thought leadership content.
- Preparing research on contemporary best practice in VC and an opportunity to support in the establishment of new venture funds and building the ecosystem in new markets within the MENA region.
- As we launch our regional funds you will be supporting due diligence efforts for prospective investments by reviewing and analyzing business plans, performing market and competitive analysis, analyzing business and financial models, and completing valuation assessments.
- Aiding investment execution by working with leadership to prepare internal investment documents for investment committee approval and coordinate the investment closing process.
- Working with the team to track monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio company performance metrics and prepare periodic portfolio reports for external investors.
Ideal Profile
Skills Required
- You have at least 2+ years experience, ideally in tech-focused venture capital, growth equity, management consulting, investment banking, or a mix of prior work experiences.
- You have good interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.
- Expertise in Startup Experience would be highly valuable.
- Fluency, a passion for technology, and prior exposure to tech and/or the tech investing ecosystem
- You enjoy finding creative solutions to problems
- You are a strong networker & relationship builder
- You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
