Research Associate in the Division of Science (Chemistry) – Dr. Serdal Kirmizialtin
The Research Laboratory of Prof. Serdal Kirmizialtin, in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), seeks to appoint a talented researcher for a Research Associate position. The research will focus on the development and use of machine learning and advanced molecular dynamics techniques to study molecular transitions. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or related field, with extensive experience in applying molecular dynamics simulations to molecular systems, ideally in both methods and applications. An ideal candidate will have a solid background in physics and chemistry, particularly in statistical mechanics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred. Experience with modern sampling techniques such as Metadynamics and dAFED is required. Good computer programming skills, with working knowledge of UNIX, phyton, and shell scripting, are required. Ideal candidates should have an in-depth knowledge of Machine Learning and its applications in Chemistry. Experience in PLUMED and OpenMM will be necessary.
